Softly, like the winter snow
Falling on the trees below
Shall these winter kisses be
Taking hold of you and me.

Quiet silence sings the starry skies
Far too far for human eyes
Sparkles like the angel tear
A song too sweet for human ear.

Tender moments passing by
Which should cause us all to cry,
Mother softly singing to her babe,
Who for us, his life gave.
