The Ten

(1)
One the one lives all alone,
The Hermit who walked the mountains
Shall sit at Lothian's table tonight.
He shall rest in the company of strangers.
He shall sing in the presence of song.
He shall silence in the time of silence.
Though ignorant he shall be wise.
One the one lives all alone,
Forever more shall be so.

(2)
Two small children danced around
Two small children touched the ground
And circling, circling in their gowns,
They twisted and giggled.
Two small children, skin so white,
Gowns so green, hair so red.
And they danced, it was a sight,
Twist with them and giggle.

(3)
Three of them were drivers
Driving hard on through the night
Three of them were drivers
Know no awful plight
Three of them were drivers
Driving through the rain
Three of them were driving
Away from hurt and pain.

(4)
The cow says moo
The sheep say baa.
The fish are silent
La dee da.

(5)
"Let's kill the cat," Henry said,
But then said Johnny
"The cat is dead"
"Let's play some ball then," Henry tried
But then said Johnny,
"My bat was broken by Mr. Hyde,"
"Let's scare my sister," Henry chimed
But then said Johnny,
"Let's end this rhyme."

(6)
When you bet, you lose.

(7)
Stars upon my eyes!
Look how bright they are!
Good for me, good for you.
There are all those stars!

(8)
With eyes of flame
The angel came
To dance upon the ring
He went to bed,
Fine dreams to me to bring.

(9)
Brightly shining
Shiners eyes
Softly lining
People's cries
Still his drinking
Fortune come
And I'm thinking
About life's crumbs.

(10)
And HE commanded
Unto thee
"Love one another,
And remember me"
