Everybody laughs on my TV
Everybody's rich and skinny except me.
Kinda makes me wanna go buy something
Kinda makes me wanna pick up the phone
Kinda makes me wanna sit in the dark alone.

Everybody laughs on my TV,
Problems all dissolve so easily.
Kinda makes me wanna eat some garbage
Kinda makes me wanna break some bones,
Kinda makes me wanna take a bath and stay home.

Everybody laughs on my TV,
People die and then come back next week
Kinda makes me wanna go out drinking
Kinda makes me wanna bleach my hair
Kinda makes me feel like real life's not fair.

Everybody laughs on my TV.

Isis

I married Isis on the fifth day of May,
But I could not hold on to her very long.
So I cut off my hair and I rode straight away
For the wild unknown country where I could not go wrong.

I came to a high place of darkness and light.
The dividing line ran through the center of town.
I hitched up my pony to a post on the right,
Went in to a laundry to wash my clothes down.

A man in the corner approached me for a match.
I knew right away he was not ordinary.
He said, "Are you lookin' for somethin' easy to catch?"
I said, "I got no money." He said, "That ain't necessary."

We set out that night for the cold in the North.
I gave him my blanket, he gave me his word.
I said, "Where are we goin'?" He said we'd be back by the fourth.
I said, "That's the best news that I've ever heard."

I was thinkin' about turquoise, I was thinkin' about gold,
I was thinkin' about diamonds and the world's biggest necklace.
As we rode through the canyons, through the devilish cold,
I was thinkin' about Isis, how she thought I was so reckless.

How she told me that one day we would meet up again,
And things would be different the next time we wed,
If I only could hang on and just be her friend.
I still can't remember all the best things she said.

We came to the pyramids all embedded in ice.
He said, "There's a body I'm tryin' to find.
If I carry it out it'll bring a good price."
'Twas then that I knew what he had on his mind.

The wind it was howlin' and the snow was outrageous.
We chopped through the night and we chopped through the dawn.
When he died I was hopin' that it wasn't contagious,
But I made up my mind that I had to go on.

I broke into the tomb, but the casket was empty.
There was no jewels, no nothin', I felt I'd been had.
When I saw that my partner was just bein' friendly,
When I took up his offer I must-a been mad.

I picked up his body and I dragged him inside,
Threw him down in the hole and I put back the cover.
I said a quick prayer and I felt satisfied.
Then I rode back to find Isis just to tell her I love her.

She was there in the meadow where the creek used to rise.
Blinded by sleep and in need of a bed,
I came in from the East with the sun in my eyes.
I cursed her one time then I rode on ahead.

She said, "Where ya been?" I said, "No place special."
She said, "You look different." I said, "Well, I guess..."
She said, "You been gone." I said, "That's only natural."
She said, "You gonna stay?" I said, "If you want me to, yes."

Isis, oh, Isis, you mystical child.
What drives me to you is what drives me insane.
I still can remember the way that you smiled
On the fifth day of May in the drizzlin' rain.

A long time ago in the valley of my own
Lived a people who wanted their home
But the sunshine came and all the water left
And now we wonder what they were.
A long time ago in the valley of the sun
A people built apartments and lived for fun.
But the winds picked up and all the rains went
And all we know is that they were.
And ancient song long forgotten,
Rebirthed in time and space alone,
Never knowing what we'd gotten.
Seemingly, you're the One.

A deep thought on life

Winddance

There is a vast plain
It is a taunting, dangerous place.
When is blows or storms or even rains
It wears no protection for it's face.
Even when the wind will race
It rushes back into the grass
It is so savage, with savage grace,
The wind does it's dance.

Of the sun there is no trace,
The wind is a demon near the pass,
And the rocky solid base
Is what is left after the wind does it's dance.
The night stars shine down on me
To give me their magical light
And this is a magical night
I shall ask for blessings for thee
And what blessings shall you see?
You shall be known for being all right
Your heart shall take wings and have flight
Lucky you shall always be.

The stars will help you find your way
They will watch from above
They will keep you safe,
They will watch with love
They will vanish in the day
But you must just keep your faith.
Over the mountains and the glade
A child makes laughter
And soonly thereafter
All who fear won't be afraid
Then a mister may meet a mid
A gown sewn by a crafer
Song sound through the rafter
A marriage is this to be made.

Years later time is this
After the children have gone
The mister will still love his miss
Though through age they carry on.
And soon they see their daughter kiss...
A new world is at dawn.
Diamonds sparkle on the shore
The water crashes in waves
And alone there stands the grave
This is a place of Lore.
People do not crowd anymore
They flee and live in caves
Culture is at the height of knave
But jewels wait, and gold galore.

Someday soon is sure to come
A maker of a rose is here
But you can't be afraid
One days is surely numb
Far off away from the clear
But it will go and fade.
Sorrows are like teardrops.
They form in your mind
They show in your eyes
But eventually, they will fall to the ground
And although you may never forget them
They will burden you no more.

The Ten

(1)
One the one lives all alone,
The Hermit who walked the mountains
Shall sit at Lothian's table tonight.
He shall rest in the company of strangers.
He shall sing in the presence of song.
He shall silence in the time of silence.
Though ignorant he shall be wise.
One the one lives all alone,
Forever more shall be so.

(2)
Two small children danced around
Two small children touched the ground
And circling, circling in their gowns,
They twisted and giggled.
Two small children, skin so white,
Gowns so green, hair so red.
And they danced, it was a sight,
Twist with them and giggle.

(3)
Three of them were drivers
Driving hard on through the night
Three of them were drivers
Know no awful plight
Three of them were drivers
Driving through the rain
Three of them were driving
Away from hurt and pain.

(4)
The cow says moo
The sheep say baa.
The fish are silent
La dee da.

(5)
"Let's kill the cat," Henry said,
But then said Johnny
"The cat is dead"
"Let's play some ball then," Henry tried
But then said Johnny,
"My bat was broken by Mr. Hyde,"
"Let's scare my sister," Henry chimed
But then said Johnny,
"Let's end this rhyme."

(6)
When you bet, you lose.

(7)
Stars upon my eyes!
Look how bright they are!
Good for me, good for you.
There are all those stars!

(8)
With eyes of flame
The angel came
To dance upon the ring
He went to bed,
Fine dreams to me to bring.

(9)
Brightly shining
Shiners eyes
Softly lining
People's cries
Still his drinking
Fortune come
And I'm thinking
About life's crumbs.

(10)
And HE commanded
Unto thee
"Love one another,
And remember me"

Storyline

Finding it fit
To the Rifwag's Begit
The ramling buggeldadee
THe place up to smit
And a man dressed in white
Who smothered the Rifwag you see

And he who was known
On the rockfellers throne
Saw the rambling, bungling dee.
And in his own fright
The man dressed in white
Climbed up the barowog tree

And still for a lark
He came in the dark
The rambling bungled a dee
He spat where he spat
Like a cat on a mat,
And swallowed the rifwag, you see.
Mist covers the ocean green
A sheith of death distilled
A storm has passed
And peace at last
After the waves hath filled

Still slimy are the rocks below
And shiny in the sun
The grass is green
Still in the scene
The beginning has begun.

And weary are the people then
Who slump down in the shade
Unknowing for
Mystic galore
That rampages the glade.

Vers Libre

Travel over mountains
From valleys to the shore
Partly sighing, partly gasping
But still wanting more
I don't know if you love it
But I sure do
And so I'm telling you
So that you will love it too.
Life is a precious thing
Life is what we live for
It is what we give for
I live on life alone.

Touching the Light

You've probably seen the dawning of the day
At least once or twice
The dimming is even more
The valley would flatten out
The seas would dry to land
The wind leave the sand
To touch the light.
Raven
He soars watching,
He is clever and brave,
Deviously soaring to see
People.

Ocean at Daybreak

Mist covers the blue
The sun kisses the waves
A new day is born.

Haiku

The geese have returned
The sound of honking grows loud
Honk, honk, honk, honk, honk.

Aspire

Aspire
Watch for dreams
Try following their lead
You'd be surprised where they take you
Know that.

Dreamworld

Dreamworld
The place to be
Lose yourself in wonder
No matter how bad life may seem
It's there.

Simple

Simple
As great as life
Enjoy it while you can
Simple is the right way to go
Easy

Fear

Fear creeps
Fear for the life
Death can't take over yet
I need to answer soon
For fear.
Day in
Color vanished
Into the dead greyness
The clammy feeling haunts my soul
Day out.

Sign of Love

A rose given died
But it's memory lives on
As a sign of love.

A Feild of Daisies

A feild of daisies
A feeling of compassion
Breathing air deeply.

Dawn

The dawn light opens
A new day of life is born
And we all rejoice.

Flower Gardens

Flower gardens soft
Sweetly sing the birds above
This day has my name.

What earthly tongue, and, oh! what human pen
Can tell that scene of suffering, too severe.
'Tis ever present to my sight, oh! when
Will the sound cease its torture on mine ear?

Oh! my lost love, thou patient Being, never!
Thy dying look of love can I forget;
The last fond pressure of thy hand, for ever!
Thrills in my veins, I see thy struggles yet.

Thy sculptured beauty is before me now:
In thy calm dignity, and sweet repose,
Alas! sad memory re-invests thy brow,
With death's stern agony, and pain's last throes.

Desolate heart be still--forgive, oh God!
The cries of feeble nature stricken sore.
Father! assuage the terrors of thy rod.
Teach me to see thy wisdom--and adore!
